Men’s Health Awareness:
6/25 FREE Prostate Cancer Screenings

June is Men’s Health Month, a time to raise awareness about the health and well-being of men and encourage healthy habits at every age.

Early detection is the best defense – get screened on June 25!

Prostate cancer is the second most common form of cancer in U.S. men, behind skin cancer. Catching signs or symptoms early is the best way to keep your long-term health in check.

Male Lennox medical plan members (and covered male spouses) can schedule an screening appointment in advance by calling 817-288-9849. Please bring a valid driver’s license and your medical ID card.

Recommended age groups for prostate cancer screening:

  • Age 50+ if average risk
  • Age 45 if high risk (African American men OR men with one close relative diagnosed before the age of 65)
  • Age 40 if very high risk (Men with more than one close relative diagnosed before the age of 65
*PSA Test (Prostate-Specific Antigen): The PSA test is a blood test that measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen protein in your blood. The PSA test is used primarily to screen for prostate cancer. Please discuss your specific health concerns and screening results with your primary care physician (PCP).
