Leaving Lennox

When your employment ends at Lennox, you have some decisions to make about your benefits. Please read the following information carefully, so that you will know what to expect and what steps you should take.

No matter where you go, we wish you luck on your next endeavor, and thank you for all your contributions

Your Next Steps

YOUR FINAL PAYCHECK

Your final paycheck includes your regular base pay and any unused vacation time accrued through your last day of work at Lennox.

If your last day of work is mid-pay period and you’re enrolled in medical, dental, vision, or any other supplemental benefits, deductions will be prorated for that specific pay period.

NOTE: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) will not be deducted in your final paycheck.

Accrued, unused vacation time (through your last day of work of Lennox) will be included in your final paycheck.

You will not receive payment for unused Company holidays, sick time, and/or Well-Being Time days.

Medical, Dental & Vision (COBRA)

Medical, dental, and/or vision coverage end at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

The COBRA Program gives you the option to keep your medical, dental, vision, Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for a maximum 18 months.

  • If you continue coverage under COBRA, your medical, dental, and/or vision coverage will be 102% of your current monthly cost (the full premium plus an administrative fee).

NOTE: You have 60 days from your last day of work to enroll in COBRA.
  • To help you understand your alternative health care exchange options, employees can reach out to Mylo by calling (844) 257-4218 or visiting choosemylo.com. Their licensed representatives will help you compare available health insurance coverage options and associated costs.

NOTE: You have 60 days from your date of retirement to enroll in the health care exchange.
Medical, Dental, Vision (Medicare)

New to Medicare?

Your eligibility for Medicare benefits begins at age 65, but you don’t have to be retired to qualify. Here are some questions to consider:

  • Should I enroll in Medicare even though I have coverage through Lennox?
  • If I’m still working, when should I enroll in Medicare?
  • Which Medicare plan is best for me and my finances?

All employees can get FREE Medicare guidance through Fidelity Medicare Services at (833) 886-0033.

NOTE: Medicare will be your primary coverage, and Lennox’s plan will be secondary.

Retirement Medical Benefits

If you retire after age 65 and have Medicare (Parts A & B), you can continue to have COBRA coverage along with it (Medicare coverage will be primary).

If you need a Lennox Medicare form completed, please reach out to Sue Manno at Sue.Manno@lennox.com.

NOTE: Lennox cannot offer advice on Medicare plans, taxes, or legal matters.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Participation in the Health Care FSA and/or Dependent Care FSA ends at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

  • Expenses incurred after your last day of work are not eligible for reimbursement.
  • You have until March 31 of the next year to submit reimbursement claims for any eligible expenses made before your last day at work. All your remaining FSA funds will be forfeited.

NOTE: If you elect COBRA for the Health Care FSA, you can continue to contribute and use the benefit.

LIFE INSURANCE, CRITICAL ILLNESS & ACCIDENT COVERAGE

Coverage ends at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

  • VOYA will mail you a Life Insurance Conversion packet to your home.
  • If you are enrolled in Critical Illness or Accident Insurance, VOYA will contact you with information on how to convert coverage.

NOTE: Coverage and costs may not be the same as the group coverage rates exclusive to Lennox employees.

SHORT-TERM & LONG-TERM DISABILITY

Both Short-Term (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage end at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

Employees currently enrolled in LTD coverage will still have access to the New York Life (NYL) Employee Assistance & Wellness Program for up to 90 days after your last day of work (and even longer if on COBRA).

  • NYL Well-Being Coaching can help you achieve your wellness goals and manage stress in a healthy way. You will have access to 5 free phone sessions.
