When your employment ends at Lennox, you have some decisions to make about your benefits. Please read the following information carefully, so that you will know what to expect and what steps you should take.

Your Next Steps

Your final paycheck includes your regular base pay and any unused vacation time accrued through your last day of work.

If your last day of work is mid-pay period and you’re enrolled in medical, dental, vision, or any other supplemental benefits, deductions will be prorated for the pay period.

NOTE: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) will not be deducted in your final paycheck.

Accrued, unused vacation time prior to your last day of work will be paid out according to the accrual schedule. You will not receive payment for unused holiday or sick time.

Coverage ends at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

The COBRA Program gives you the option to keep your medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for a maximum 18 months.
  • If you continue coverage under COBRA, the cost of your medical, dental, and vision plan(s) will be 102% of the monthly premium. This includes the full premium cost plus an administrative charge.

    NOTE: You have 60 days from your last day of work to enroll in COBRA.
  • If you do not wish to continue coverage under COBRA, Mylo (via Lockton) can help you find an affordable health insurance plan through the health care exchange.

Participation in the Health Care FSA and/or Dependent Care FSA ends at midnight on your last day at Lennox.
  • Expenses incurred after your last day of work are not eligible for reimbursement.
  • You have until March 31 of the next year to submit reimbursement claims for any eligible expenses made before your last day at work. All your remaining FSA funds will be forfeited.
NOTE: If you elect COBRA for the Health Care FSA, you can continue to contribute and use the benefit.

  • To convert your Life Insurance policy, you will need to request a ‘Life Conversion Information Request’ document from your local HR department.
  • If you are enrolled in a Critical Illness and/or Accident Insurance plan(s), VOYA will contact you directly with information on how to convert coverage.
NOTE: Coverage and costs may not be the same as the group coverage available as a Lennox employee.

Coverage for both benefits end at midnight on your last day at Lennox.

If you are an LTD-covered employee, you will have access to New York Life’s Employee Assistance and Wellness Support services for up to 90 days after your last day of work (and even longer if on COBRA).
