Benefit Features


  • If you qualify, Lennox will waive 100% of your employee costs (including deductibles and coinsurance) associated with your approved surgical procedure – this means your surgery will cost you $0!
  • Effective 1/1/2025, medical plan members needing spine or joint-related surgery will be required to call Lantern at (833) 834-0052 and consult with a Care Advocate before scheduling any procedure (otherwise your surgery may not be covered).
Lantern covers more than 1,500 planned, non-emergency surgeries. Your Care Advocate will assist you with finding an excellent surgeon and also provide as pre-and post-operative support.

Your Lantern Care Advocate will assist you in preparing for, undergoing, and recovering from surgery.

To get started, follow these easy steps:
  1. Call a Lantern Care Advocate for concierge-level member service.
    Your Care Advocate will assist you in making informed decisions about surgical needs, transferring medical records, coordinating pre- and post-operative care, scheduling appointments, finding travel and lodging accommodations, etc.
  2. Choose a highly qualified surgeon from the Lantern network.
    Your Care Advocate will assist you in selecting a nearby qualified surgeon within the Lantern network. Lantern rigorously screens board-certified and background-checked surgeons in the area to ensure that they meet high standards.
  3. Save money.
    If your procedure is approved, Lennox will waive all employee costs (including deductibles and coinsurance) for non-emergent surgical procedures completed through Lantern.
  4. Avoid unnecessary stress.
    Lantern will help manage all your after-surgery needs like scheduling follow-up appointments and dealing with claims or unexpected medical bills, so you can focus on recovery without worries.
