Benefit Features

With a single blood draw, the GRAIL Galleri test screens for a unique “fingerprint” of 50+ cancers.*

Be proactive about your health.

The GRAIL Galleri test can recognize DNA shedding signals that may be caused by growth of cancer cells in the body. This allows for earlier detection and more effective treatment.
  • It’s a proactive tool to screen for cancer that can be done annually.
  • It empowers you with the information you need to get the right care early.
  • Unlike genetic or hereditary tests, this is a “point-in-time” test that checks for cancer at the time of test.

Screen before symptoms appear.

Early-stage cancer is an average 3x less expensive to treat vs. late-stage in the first year after diagnosis.

The GRAIL Galleri test can discover signals from over 50 types of cancer before symptoms start to appear, including anal, bladder, breast, cervical, esophageal, head and neck, liver/bile duct, lung, lymphoma, ovarian, pancreatic, plasma cell neoplasm, stomach, and other common conditions.*

NOTE: This test is recommended for medical plan members age 50 + or those at a higher risk of cancer. It is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, 21 years old or younger, or undergoing active cancer treatment.

Understanding your results.

You will receive your test result about two weeks after your blood sample is received at the GRAIL lab. There are two possible results:
  • No Cancer Signal Detected
  • Cancer Signal Detected
Nearly 99% of people who use the Galleri test will screen negative, but you should continue with routine cancer screening tests your healthcare provider recommends.

If a cancer signal is found, results also can predict the tissue type or organ associated with the cancer signal. This vital information can help your healthcare provider make a timely decision on next steps.

*The Galleri test does not detect a signal for all cancers and not all cancers can be detected in the blood. False positive and false negative results do occur. The Galleri test identifies DNA in the bloodstream shed by cancer cells and does not predict future genetic risk for cancer. Galleri should be used in addition to recommended screening tests.
